Eligibility Criteria

Every person applying for admission to the Foundation Course shall be required to apply in the form prescribed by the Institute for the purpose and produce evidence to the satisfaction of the Institute that he/she:

1. Has completed seventeen (17) years of age on the date of his/her application.  
2. Passed the Senior Secondary School Examination under the 10+2 scheme of a recognized Board or an Examination recognized by the Central Government as equivalent there to or has passed the National Diploma in Commerce Examination held by the All India Council of Technical Education or any State Board of Technical Education under the authority of the said All India Council, or Diploma in Rural Service Examination conducted by National Council of Rural Higher Education.

Subjects

The Foundation Course Examination consists of Four papers of 100 marks each.

Paper 1: Organization & Management Fundamentals.
Paper 2: Accounting
Paper 3: Economics and Business Fundamentals.
Paper 4: Business Mathematics, Statistics

A candidate shall be declared to have passed in the Foundation Course Examination if he/she obtains at one sitting a minimum of 40% marks in each paper and an aggregate of 50% of the total marks of all papers in that examination.

Duration of the Classes

Duration: 6 months 
Class hours: 07.00 a.m. to 09.00 a.m. only at Kaloor and Aluva. All other satellite centres Saturday & Sunday
